Bio:

Richard Christian

   Richard Christian was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, where he earned his BFA in Painting from Buffalo State College in 1991, prior to moving to Long Island where he received his MFA in Painting and Drawing from  the C. W. Post College of Long Island University in 1996. While residing on Long Island, Mr. Christian exhibited his artwork throughout the Hamptons, where he also worked in art sales and as a Gallery Manager. 

Since moving back to Buffalo in 1999, Mr. Christian has worked for museums and Art Conservators in private practice, as an Art Conservation Technician and Archival Exhibits Designer in and around the Rochester area as well as working as an Adjunct Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology, Medaille College, Daemen College and Villa Maria College in Rochester and Buffalo. Mr. Christian has taught and designed curricula for studio art, fashion design, art history and museum management classes. He has exhibited in galleries and juried exhibitions throughout Western New York and Long Island. Mr. Christian is the 2013 and 2014 President of the Buffalo Society of Artists, and volunteers with the Burchfield Penney Art Center Archives. He has juried numerous local exhibitions and His work can be found in private collections internationally and throughout the United States.
